What are the signs that a child might become a psychopath?

I found an interesting video by Dr. Todd Grande, a licensed professional counselor of mental health and a licensed chemical dependency professional who has a very popular YouTube channel.

In this video, Dr. Grande tries to answer the following questions:

  1. What are the signs that a child might become a psychopath?
  2. What are the signs that a child has already become a psychopath?

To be perfectly clear, Dr. Grande does not label children as psychopaths. He just identifies the following documented 11 signs that show that, in the future, a child may become a psychopath:

  1. bed-wetting;
  2. arson, fascination with fire, destroying property;
  3. hurting small animals, practicing on stuffed animals;
  4. cheating friends, enemies, and those who are neutral;
  5. ignoring another child who is crying, failing to recognize distress in faces;
  6. attacking a teacher, being dominant with an authority figure, attacking someone with a weapon;
  7. committing a crime alone, fantasizing about a crime;
  8. having the desire to see disturbing images or scenes, wanting to see a person die;
  9. being fearless, not worried about consequences, resuming bad behavior right after punishment;
  10. bullying, wanting people to fear them;
  11. cold and highly critical parenting with negative reactions to disclosure; neglect.
